Yep, that’s essentially the same as Cruz saying Biden will win. We’ll probably see those tricorner hats again too.

Of course he is. Ted Cruz can be accused of many things, but stupidity is not one of them

Cruz is somewhat less of a hypocrite than say, Tom Cotton, on this issue, but I predict it will not have the same resonance with the electorate this go around. It is just like global warming, most people will not be persuaded until the flood water is at their front door, and who’s to say they are wrong?

Betcha it will not become a big enough issue for then to propose increasing taxes, even regressive taxes.

About that time when the partisans flip positions! Get ready for a lot of huffing and puffing from Senate minority leader McConnell on all the broken democratic norms.

Everyone else in the free world is routing for Donald Trump. There is a reason that NBC, ABC, CNN, Washington Post and CNBC are all in lockstep with the democratic party. Here is the proof:
1. Carlos Slim owns 17% of the NYT, that 17% allows him to choose 30% of the of NYT directors. And of course the board hires the CEO. His company American Movil has partnered with Huawei, and Giant Motors is aligned with CCP owned JAC motors.
2. Washington Post is owned by Amazon. And of course Amazon needs access to the worlds most lucrative market (1B people).
3. CNN is owned by Warner Media, and has investments with CMC, a media company owned by the CCP.
4. NBC and CNBC has subsidiaries owned by CMC capital partners, which also has full ownership of NBC Universal.
5. ABC is of course owned by Disney, and Disney has parks in China: not to mention, they have movies they can deliver to a 1B market.
The great reset is not an imaginary fiction. You have a powerful group of elite with significant interests in foreign markets, and they don’t want to give them up. Klaus Schwab and Prince Charles are on tape discussing this. Tariffs are their worst nightmare.
VOTE DONALD TRUMP! Save America! Save the Free World! Save individualism.

@Xu – you need to get your facts correct about the NY Times and Carlos Slim. Slim has been selling off shares as the company became more profitable and only owns 7% currently.

In fairness, the swelling national debt should be a major concern, if not the primary concern at the moment. Not the debt per se, but unsustainability of likely projected deficits.

JMCSF, Hypocrisy in politics? Never seen it.

There’s speculation that McConnell has expected a Republican wipeout in this election for at least a couple of months and doesnt want to support Trump with more fiscal stimulus. He wants Trumpism wiped out as much as possible, because it gets in the way of serving his favored constituencies, which support freer trade and immigration, among other issues.
