According to the state of Texas, 18-20 year olds are “children“:

Texas counters that it has “long used age restrictions on employment to reduce young people’s exposure to perceived social ills.”

Senate Bill 315 redefined 18- to 20-year-olds as children, making it a violation of the state’s ban on “employment harmful to children” to employ or induce adults younger than 21 to work nude, topless, or in any “sexually oriented commercial activity.”

So it’s not just rebel armies in Africa that rely on child soldiers?

At long last, we have evidence of fraud in the 2020 election:

The lieutenant governor of Texas cut the check on his first bounty for voter fraud evidence to a poll worker in Pennsylvania, but it wasn’t the proof he was expecting.

Almost a year after Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced that he would pay for evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, someone has received their payout. Patrick sent a $25,000 check to Eric Frank, a Democratic poll worker from Chester County, Pennsylvania, who reported a 72-year-old Republican for voting twice.

You probably woke up this morning wonder what the far right thinks of left wingers. Here’s your answer, from a thoughtful website called “Breitbart“:

The organized left is deliberately putting unvaccinated Trump supporters in an impossible position where they can either NOT get a life-saving vaccine or CAN feel like cucks caving to the ugliest, smuggest bullies in the world.

In other words, I sincerely believe the organized left is doing everything in its power to convince Trump supporters NOT to get the life-saving Trump vaccine.

I’m sorry, but people willing to drone strike seven children and who are eager to unleash terrorists like Antifa and Black Lives Matter into our cities are sociopaths. The left’s morality is guided only by that which furthers their fascist agenda, and so using reverse psychology to trick Trump supporters NOT to get a life-saving vaccine is, to them, a moral good. The more of us who die, the better.

Politico has an article discussing whether Biden should declassify certain Trump documents. This made me laugh out loud:

A precedent for such broad use of the president’s declassification power comes from the Trump years. Famously, as president, Trump employed this power cavalierly to disclose classified information to Russia’s foreign minister and ambassador. Trump also pushed law enforcement and intelligence agencies to declassify details about the Russia investigation. Having so recklessly used that power, he’s hardly in a position to complain about it now.

Is that final sentence a joke? Trump’s been on the political scene for 6 years; has Politico still not figured him out?

BTW, did you see that Trump will name his new social network “Truth”. The name sounds better in Russian.

The idea that the left is discouraging Trump supporters from getting vaccinated by encouraging them to get vaccinated may be the perfect image for our time.

Consider the likely reaction if the left discouraged Trumpkins from getting vaccinated.

The problem with the Breitbart speculation is that some people, as did Breitbart, were going to figure this out. Some Republicans were going to get vaccinated anyway. However, that is where the back up plan comes in handy. The claims about 5G and the vaccines actually are true. Those will be used for mind control for those who dont fall for the ruse and get vaccinated anyway.

LOL Breitbart is implicitly arguing that many of their readers are stupid, and easily manipulated by the left. It’s obvious much of the right wing media has no regard for the well-being of its audience, but this low opinion of the audience is so open….

Do readers of Breitbart not understand that this could actually argue in favor of liberal nanny state policies? If many right wingers are so dumb that the left can trick them into not taking vaccines during a pandemic, then are these people who can be thought capable of taking care of themselves? Maybe that argues they should surrender to the left and ask for more nanny state. That Breitbard article is basically saying their readers have no adult agency. Unreal. lol

    Sumner’s thuggery knows no bounds.

In his fantasy world, whore houses and drug dens would line every street corner. The lack of virtue is common amongst the baby boomer generation.

In addition to this, he somehow refuses to acknowledged the evidence.
16,000 people have now died from the vaccine. That is more than every other vaccine, ever created, combined. 20,000 scientists have signed the great barrington declaration. Nearly half of the FDA committee voted against boosters. The moderna vaccine is banned in sweden. But in his radical leftist mind – btw, is he a poor writer or is it just me – he only sees two words which he says over and over, like his mainstream media pals: “life saving”. None of the other data matters to the radical thug with an agenda!

He refuses to criticize those who choose “liberty” over “centralized tyranny”.

Whoever doesn’t agree with his extremely narrow view of politics is “hard right” and “anti-science”.

Meanwhile, the Biden/Sumner centralized economy cannot fill the shelves.

It’s called communism and totalitarianism. We’ve seen it before.

    Sumner = loser.

    Sumner = pathetic faggot dictator

Sumner = one rule for thee, another for me

    Sumner = American demise.

    Don’t be a Sumner.

ah, I knew the radical democrat “aka Scott Sumner” would return.

He took one week away from his partisan quackery, but he’s back again in full force.

Many Americans don’t want to live under a federal government that forces them to place something inside their body, or ties their employment and societal participation to how “compliant” they are.

Scott continues to call for “mass vaccination”, “coercion”, and “threats” to those who simply don’t want the vaccine. If you prefer that model of governance, why not move to China and live under the CCP? What are you still doing here? You can renounce your citizenship at anytime. Just leave the country, go to the embassy, and fill out two pages. It’s that easy.

    America is a republic!

    States decide.

Not you or Biden – thankfully!

I’m curious as to why you read breitbart?

    That is like watching CNN.

Both are propaganda. And most Americans take neither seriously. Well, Sumner of course takes CNN seriously because he falls into the radical left category. But most Americans do not.

To claim that breitbart is the “conservative position” is disingenuous. If you quoted the Federalist, or City Journal, or the Hoover Institution you might then claim “conservative position” as these are more or less conservative think tanks (the federalist is more libertarian) but nevertheless it is far more intellectual than breitbart.

If the Chicago academics today like reading the NYT, CNN and Brietbart for “intellectual stimulation”, our nation has a BIG problem!

The conservative position on vaccines is simply this: the choice should be between them and their doctor – not some apparatchik in Washington, or an academic behind a desk. Healthcare is not “one size fits all”.

But yes, we know Sumner disagrees. After all, to the radical left, more government, more “experts”, and more spending is always the answer to every problem. Anything that increases their tax revenue, or creates more “govt jobs” for the surplus of underqualified and uneducated social science graduates is the answer to the world problems.

She’s disgusting, and so are Sumner’s bullies for threatening pilots, nurses and doctors.

As many on here have stated. The left, not the right, is the sick one right now.

Not that the right can’t be mentally sick. It can. But at the moment it’s not. In fact, the right is the only thing protecting America from a total and complete takeover by European socialists and thuggish communists.

I have stopped reading political news all together——I do go to aggregators and check out the headlines to see if anything has changed——when that does I will likely read some essays.

I am amazed how some people have this “Jones” (where did that term come from?) about Trump. They hunt down these stories and it gives them great emotional satisfaction—-but one of my long time best friends sends me about 5-10 Trump articles daily——so I am always on top of those stories——I cannot imagine chasing down Biden stories—-what is the point? I do not read them of course. ( I of 15 times I respond with an absurd comment—-(he calls me “MAGA Mike”). Which is funny—-since he is the hunter—and I am the game (Patty Smyth—-circa 1984)

But if it makes Scott happy (and frankly, I am responding, so……..) no harm done.

Sumner’s democrat thugs are at it again.

Another radical academic from the Pittsburgh medical school (lowly ranked), who sits on the FDA committee voted for booster shots using his “gut feeling”. Here are his exact words:

    1. “It’s more a gut feeling rather than based on really truly serious data,” said Patrick Moore, a member of the committee and a professor of molecular genetics and biochemistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. “The data itself is not strong, but it is certainly going in the direction that is supportive of this vote.”

The data itself is not strong, but my gut tells me….

sounds a lot like pseudo science. He must be friends with Sumner.

And here is Sumner’s radical revisionary historian Hannah-Jones from the 1619 project

    2. “Yes, some of this is not accurate but the narrative allows for policy”.

The narrative allows for policy, and gut feeling.

And Sumner reads brietbart, whatever that is….

This is the state of the academic community today.

Mostly brainless baby boom losers, who continue to blame the old soviet union (a now fictitious enemy) for their radical socialist fiscal problems and lack of virtue.

Hint: you may want to look to the east and within for your real enemies.

Have you noticed that you criticize Trumps every venture, without once praising anything he’s ever done? Is there anything you like about Trump? How about his hair? His smile? His hotel? His golf course? Do you think it’s sane to hate everything about someone? Some would rightly call that type of thinking “deranged”.

    1. A new social media platform that refuses to ban people and allows free speech sounds great. There is nothing wrong with expressing oneself freely without censorship. One only has to review numerous FB and Twitter internal chats, and information from countless whistleblowers, to see that almost every decision by their board is political. They have blocked congressmen, a former president, removed followers from those they don’t like, made certain names unsearchable (they call this shadow banning). All of which has contributed to the current state of affairs. Political opponents in a democracy are not “enemies”, no matter how much you want secretly them to be. Only totalitarians think of their political opponents as “domestic terrorists” and “enemies of the republic”.

    2. Truth & Russia is a very, very poor analogy. Truth and CCP would be a much better analogy. Unlike the U.S., the RU of today is both politically sane and politically moderate. There are not many RU citizens that agree with the radical left or radical right.

    3. The new platform will hopefully create jobs and competition in an industry that sorely needs both. Trump is risking money, and also his reputation. He is engaging the marketplace. All of that is commendable.

Seeking to understand the position of another, and placing the shoe on the other foot, is an important skill. It’s a skill you sadly don’t have. And quite frankly, any man approaching 70 who still doesn’t have social skills, tact and diplomacy, is a man that is not very bright. Some people call that “bitter”: hence the term, “bitter old man”.

Typically, people who are upset with their life choices fall into this category.

OK, he did inherit $40 million from his daddy, if you wish to call that a “good quality”.

Fauci finally admitted to funding research in Wuhan, after lying about it under oath
    .
Fauci admitted to drugging dogs, placing their heads in a box, and allowing bugs to eat them alive.

And Sumner wants you to let this totalitarian monster, and ultimate sicko, place a vaccine in your body against your will? He wants you to blindly trust him because he’s a so called expert.

Sumner and Fauci lie, lie, lie, and lie again to accomplish their goals.

As a fitting punishment, we should put their heads in a box, put a little beef on top, and let the dogs eat them alive.

Well, this thread is off-the-rails. How about a new topic like taxing unrealized capital gains! I might be for that, if there was an efficient way of estimating the value of all assets accurately. If there is not, there will be huge distortions in capital investments and that is bad.

I have seen an alternative proposal that would tax (as income) any money borrowed against assets with unrealized capital gains. That is easy to value and neutral, which is good.

    First commentator is another dotard:

    “The idea that”
    “The notion that”
    “the fact that”

This medical condition occurs in people with low IQ, and generally those with a poor vocabulary. There are other ways to express oneself without using “the notion that” and “the idea that” at the start of every sentence. Talk about “dull” and “dumb”…

Btw, how are the shelves in America now? And Inflation? lol.

You can blame that on Sumner’s idiocy – well, not him specifically. But his profession…

Sumner’s dotards want to tax your “unrealized gains” now. Is there anything more stupid? Nobody is going to want to invest in your shitty country anymore with these dumb – and I mean really dumb – ideas.

How about no income tax, and no capital gains tax? Now that is American individualism!

History has shown that you don’t need a big govt, and you don’t need social programs.

Before F. D. Roosevelt – yeah you know, the fat American slob and total loser who somehow became president – very few people went hungry. They would go to poor houses, which gave them free food for a bit of work – and by a bit, I mean anything they could physically do.

The radicals like Sumner try to denigrate those state and county institutions by saying they lack dignity, but how is ripping off future generations who will not receive any social security dignified? And is it really dignity to sit in your chair, alone, and accept a check because your kids are too selfish to live with you – after you raised them for 20+ years. OR in Sumner’s economy, 30+ years? Is it dignified to steal from someone else, and send that money in the form of a check to an old poor person? Or is more dignified, and more fair, to ask children to take care of their damn parents and, if they cannot, is it more dignified to ask the poor old people to WORK a bit, DOING WHATEVER THEY CAN, at a house with others? It’s a hell of a lot more dignified than a nursing home! And a hell of lot more fair to the American taxpayer. And yeah, nobody died from a lack of health care either. Sumner’s revisionist history doesn’t add up. Doctors tended to the poor before medicaid and medicare, and surgeons operated for free.

By the way, the only reason Sumner attacks Trumps media platform is because he wants Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to own the social media market. He is not a fan of free speech. He wants to control the narrative, and the best way to do that is to keep competition out of the market.

But of course Sumner is wrong again. Despite being banned by all three, the song “Let’s go Brandon” still hit #1.

    So…..

    Go Fuck yourself Sumner!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg2nDSKQ0Bw

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pg0XXhkt0gw

    Because they lack virtue!

Sumner wants drugs and prostitutes on your street corner.

But what he fails to grasp is that virtue is the cornerstone of a functioning republic.

Montesquieu – who pseudo intellectuals like Sumner don’t read – knew that very well. In his view, two things would destroy a republic.

    1. lack of virtue
    2. inequality

And every Sumner/Biden/Radical policy leads you closer to your demise.
