While Giuliani was taking down the NYC mob in his 30s, Sumner was working for pennies at a third rate school. I’ll take Giuliani’s IQ over Sumner any day of the week.
Notice how Sumner quotes the Washington Post and MSNBC. Both are clown shows. Let’s review shall we:
Amazon has significant interests in China. MSNBC is operated by NBC universal which signed a contract with, Xinhua, a CCP owned media organization in China. And low and behold, Universal also has interests in iQIYI and CMC capital partners which interestingly have rights to Universal Studio. CMC is owned by the CCP.
Interesting how he picks the two most corrupt news organizations, along with CNN and NYT, and thinks they are “reliable sources” despite both of them quoting “anonymous sources”.
That is amazingly awful logic. To test his idiocy, I’m going to write an op-ed for the NYT, and let’s see if Sumner believes every word simply because it’s in the paper 😀 😀 I’m sure he will.
Btw, there is a reason why CNN is accepted in communist Vietnam, while Fox, Apple Daily, and Epoch are banned. There is a reason why CNN is banned in the Philippines, while Fox news, Epoch, and Apple Daily are widely viewed in the Philippines. Free countries prefer family, liberty, freedom, capitalism and individualism, over collectivism, communism, and globalism.

Sumner strikes me as one of these radical communist liberals that sits 50 rows in the stands yelling at people who are actually in the game. I mean, he throws peanuts from the peanut gallery at Giuliani, Powell and Wood, simply because they are trying present a case. It’s bizarre, and in some ways unamerican.
The President has every right to file suit, and go through the appeals process. Giuliani is more than capable at handling those duties. He was not just a former prosecutor for the southern district of NY (big cases against the mob) but he was also the assistant attorney general of the United States. Those are very challenging positions, and he exceled in them.
The partisan quackery, and peanut throwing really needs to stop. Because the solution to this partisan quackery is violence. Someday Sumner’s house will be burned to the ground, and he’ll wonder why. This already happening in some areas where violence is considered to be the New Normal. And the attack on officers doesn’t encourage them to step in and help.
There are many people in this country that don’t support the new communist agenda. And they are willing to fight to make sure it doesn’t happen.

I’m not a fan of Giuliani at all.
He’s too incoherent.
But I respect Lin Wood.
He’s a moral man, with great integrity.
If he says he has evidence, I’m all ears.

The left is full of hatred. I emailed my former professor at Colombia a few days ago, and he called the left a “new religion” which I think is a fitting description.
In any sane, unbiased, non partisan society, Giuliani is revered.
1. By all accounts he has led a wonderful life. He was a fearless prosecutor that endured death threats daily from the NYC MOB. He ignored every threat, pursued the truth, and single handedly took down the Gambino Crime family.
2. He did a magnificent job during 9/11.
3. He presided over the best economy NYC ever had.
Yet, somehow, someway, in the last four years the left wing “religion” has changed the narrative.
But are we surprised? They did this with Trump too:
Younger readers will be surprised to know that Trump was a Media Darling in the 1980s. They loved him! In fact, the narrative in the 80s was that Trump was a “Golden Boy” with a “Midas Touch”.
It wasn’t until he started dabbling in politics – in the mid 90s, that the propaganda machine changed the narrative.
Today, you don’t need to trust MSNBC, CNN or FOX, because you can simply read the tweets, court filings, and legislative bills directly. If you choose to do the latter, the narrative changes significantly. I was a democrat until I began to read the source material myself.
I then realized the media had lost their minds. I would encourage others to read the legislative bills and court filings so that they are more informed.

Antifa released a statement today demanding Trump concede or they will starve his supporters, and commit vehicular manslaughter. AOC is calling for a blacklist of Trump supporters, and the DNC is creating a list of deplorables. One leftist commentator on YouTube recommended firing squads and reeducation camps.
Does anyone thing JFK would support such policies? How about Bobby? Jimmy Carter?
Attacking people for having different views is totalitarian, and unamerican.
The second amendment was designed for this very moment. Mobs and Thugs, and other leftist bullies will soon get an “awakening”.
People can only be pushed so far. When we are told to say “Happy Holiday” we do so out of empathy for others who might have different views. When a ladyboy tells us they want to be called a pronoun, we do so out of empathy and to avoid conflict. But when you try and legislate those things, and take away people’s right to a choice, that is where we draw the line. At that moment, as Peterson previously mentioned, it is no longer about empathy. It is about leftist mobs imposing their values on our values. That violates our inalienable rights. The cancel culture; the name calling; and the daily harassment by communists will eventually lead to violence.
As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for.

One of the oldest tricks how narcissists (and other politicians) lead their people: If the scheme fails, they drop their subordinates and deny any participation. If the plan is successful, they claim victory for themselves. Trump has done this to the extreme as probably few politicians before him, mostly dictators like Hitler and Stalin.
But it shows that even these people can be influenced by public opinion. Trump sees that he is not getting anywhere with his current plan, so even he is correcting his course.

The most common sign of a low IQ is not incoherency, because incoherency in speech boils down to one’s ability to process information quickly. Many people have slow processors, but powerful depth. As such, one cannot determine Giuliani’s IQ based on a press conference.
However, one sign of a low IQ is the inability to recognize logical fallacies.
Sumner calls himself a libertarian and a utilitarian. Those are two conflicting ideologies.
A utilitarian cannot believe in the inalienable. By definition, a utilitarian believes in maximizing utility for the group and is willing to do anything (relative morality) to maximize that utility.
On the other hand, Lockean and Kantian precepts (i.e, natural rights and human rights) are the substructure of the libertarian ideal.
So although Sumner likes to pretend he’s a libertarian: in reality, he’s not. And no matter how much he likes to pretend that Utilitarianism is compatible with natural rights: it’s not! You either believe in the Universal, or you don’t.
Communism is a mode of production built on the foundation of Bentham’s utilitarianism. This is because communism predicates its morality on the relative. For example, communists deny your natural right to property, which is an extension of your labor ( a natural right).
This is why Sumner despises the true individualist (DJT). Although he claims he believes in freedom and liberty, he actually despises freedom and liberty when it violates his utilitarian conception of morality: a morality predicated on prevailing notions of utility.
Over 70 years he has failed to reconcile these conflicts.

nice try, if pompous. But I hate to break this to you, IQ does break down into two basic abilities: holding things in memory, and yes, processing speed. If either one of these degrades, IQ degrades.
You’re right about a basic tension between Bentham’s utilitarianism and libertarianism (technically, classical liberalism), but Scott is pretty blameless here. He usually, and clearly, prefers freedom of individual choice over policy mandates so that the individual may maximize his or her personal utility. If you read more of this blog, you’ll find that often Scott will write things such as, we don’t know what utility even is except for revealed preferences (the things people actually do, rather than say). Not to confuse with monetary aggregates or such which are clearly artificial constructs that have little to do with personal liberty or the absence thereof.
The hysterical right wing lunatic brigade in the comments section here has of course no relation to classical liberalism since they prefer government coercion (e.g., tariffs, borders) over individual freedom (free exchange of goods regardless of origin, free movement of people regardless of arbitrary lines in the desert). How the so called libertarians on the net of the 2005-2015 period (largely US based I presume), morphed into Trump die hard proto-fascists, remains one of the great mysteries of our time.

It is possible to believe Rudy was highly effective in his DA and Mayor activities—-which by and large he was —-but still be highly critical of his activity in the fraud accusation activity.
I believe major fraud was likely, certainly possible. I believe that the two major issues were the massive mail in ballots (combined with crazy and inconsistent rules among states) and a very unsatisfactory explanation for the “stopped counting” phenomenon.
Part of what I call fraud——were the rules themselves—-which does not fit a legal definition of fraud per se.
We know with 99% certainty Biden will be sworn in as president. So this issue is no longer about mocking Rudy, Powell or Trump—-and on the two former I have mocked them consistently.
Anyone who believes this election was conducted properly are surely not paying attention.
We—-and by we—-I mean the media, Trump haters, and the Democratic Party—-obsessed over Russia impacting the election of 2016. Yet, those same people see nothing wrong here. As Trump said daily for four years, no President should ever have had to endure such attacks.
More so, we cannot let this election—-which really was a banana republic election—-ever be repeated again

Regarding Scott’s total snark——he is unserious on this issue and a true political hack—like 98% of us. But he is an intellectual leader——yet he succumbed to every dumbass trope ever printed about Trump. And he has ignored the obvious issues about his election —-which are obviously real—-by happily joining in on dancing on graves.
The fact he does not enjoy snark and mockery (we all enjoy snark and mockery) re: China is interesting. He hides behind is droning occasional criticisms, but he cannot engage in true mockery—-which really is what is required. Instead he did and does that with Trump (not Biden, not Pelosi) and Trump only.

You cry a lot. And you have no facts to back up your faith-based assertions and lies.
There is no evidence, NONE, that this election was any more or less fair than previous ones. Was there likely some fraud and mistakes on a few ballots, no doubt. Just as there is every election, and never even close to enough to change the result.
The will of the people was that Biden be elected, and he was. The will of the people (in the right states, since fewer voted for him) was that Trump be elected in 2016. Both elections had similar levels of fraud, meaning very little.
Take the L, shake the other guy’s hand, and move on. Get ’em next time.

On some level, I find the incredibly hateful and suppressive attitudes towards 10s of millions of Americans to be basically evil, but Trump has gone too far off the deep end to get behind at this point. Unfortunately it also looks like yet another terrible mistake by the left that will cost them long term and propel Trumpism for years to come.

Senator Mastriano was just suspended from Twitter for holding a public hearing in PA about election irregularities. This shows we are rapidly approaching communist levels of suppression. We’re really not in a republic this point.

I agree 100%. I only claim it “shows” where we are. Not that it’s news to anybody, but a huge number number of educated leftists are entirely pro censorship and believe in their total right to control the narrative by almost any means. They do not believe in humanity on a basic level. This is far more dangerous than incompetent lawyers and disorganized right wingers.
